Cywaith Cymru . Artworks Wales is the national organisation for public art in Wales. It was established in 1981 to encourage the placing of art in the environment.
The services we offer include :

Strategic Planning

• The preparation of full-scale studies in relation to urban and rural regeneration

• Research and development of public art policies

Project Management

• Consultation, liaison and management of projects and individual commissions

• Organisation of selection procedures, including national and international competitions

• Management of budgets for commissions and public art projects

• Advice on fundraising including information and award schemes

• Technical support including specialist advice on insurance and installation

Artist in Residence Programme and Education projects

• CC.AW enters into partnership with communities across Wales in organising and managing Artist in Residence projects

• CC.AW is active in setting up education programmes, seminars and workshops to promote a wider understanding of public art and the issues that surround it

Exhibitions and promotion

• Curation of exhibitions and the preparation of publicity material

• Organisation of seminars and conferences

• Coordination of press and media coverage

Cywaith Cymru . Artworks Wales receives revenue funding from the Arts Council of Wales. The Artist in Residence Programme is grant aided by the Arts Council of Wales.
